Development Action For Visionary Youth Initiative (DAVYI) is a grassroots, community-based organization committed to creating opportunities, strengthening communities and empowering vulnerable people to build a better future.
DAVYI works with communities, young people, women, children and families, particularly those facing social and economic challenges.
Our work focuses on creating practical opportunities, strengthening livelihoods, improving access to knowledge and skills, and encouraging communities to take an active role in their own development.

Development Action For Visionary Youth Initiative (DAVYI) is a grassroots, community-based non-governmental organization operating in Southern Uganda, particularly in Kyotera and Rakai Districts, with its Head Office located in Kakuuto–Jjengere Village, Kyotera District.
The organization exists to empower vulnerable and disadvantaged communities through sustainable development programmes that improve livelihoods, strengthen resilience and create meaningful opportunities for children, youth, women and families.
DAVYI believes that every community possesses the potential to transform itself when people are equipped with the right knowledge, skills, opportunities, resources and partnerships.
We therefore work alongside communities to identify challenges, develop practical solutions and promote sustainable approaches that can improve the quality of life for present and future generations.

The HIV/AIDS epidemic had profound consequences for families and communities in the region, contributing to loss of lives, increased numbers of vulnerable children, weakened household support systems and increased poverty.
Many communities continue to experience interconnected challenges including poverty, unemployment, disease, environmental degradation, limited access to quality education, healthcare and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
DAVYI was established to respond to these challenges by strengthening communities' capacity for socio-economic development and sustainable transformation.
